Osaka once again invited San Francisco to send a runner to participate in the Osaka Half-Marathon. Following the guidelines that were arranged many years ago, Katy Hollbacher, of San Francisco, was selected.

For the first time in our Sister City history, our entrant, Katy Hollbacher, WON the women's race! Congratulations Katy!!

Katy was the highest SF female finisher in the Bay to Breakers and thus our choice to represent us this year.

Marathon Details:
Osaka City Half Marathon
Date: February 27, 2005
Route: Osaka Castle Park and Nakanoshima area
Participation: 3,000 runners and 100 wheelchair runners
Application is open for runners 19 years of age or older and faster than 2 h for half marathon (1 h 15 m for wheelchair runners).
