Description At the occasion of 150th Anniversary of the Arrival of Kanrin Maru to San Francisco, the Kanrin Maru Monument gifted by the City of Osaka to the City of San Francisco commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Arrival of Kanrin Maru to San Francisco in 1960 was rededicated on October 16, 2010.

Description The Association once again participated in Japan Pavilion during the first weekend (April 10 and 11) of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Our 2009 student ambassadors, Miya Yung and Sarah Park, along with other members, represented the Association at our booth. On Sunday, we were visited by the 2010 Cherry Blossom Queen and her court.

Description San Francisco Plaque placed in Nakanoshima Park, Osaka, and designed by San Francisco commemorating the 50 years of friendship between the cities of Osaka and San Francisco was dedicated at the ceremony held on July 31, 2009. Attendants from San Francisco were Co-Chair Allen Okamoto and found member, Director and Treasurer Hatsuro Aizawa, as well as Miya and Sarah, student ambassadors from San Francisco.

Description On display was a replica of Osaka Robot presented by the City of Osaka to the City of San Francisco commemorating the 50 years of friendship between the two cities. Included in it are letters written by child of Osaka, which are to be opened in 2017.
