2017 San Francisco Student Ambassadors
Celine Thatch (Junior at Abraham Lincoln High School) and Elizabet Ha (Junior at George Washington High School) visited Osaka from July 18th to August 7th as San Francisco’s Student Ambassadors. With a warm welcome extended to them by many members of the Osaka City International Relations Department, host families Fujimotos, Nakanos and Teranishis, members of SOYNET (SF/Osaka Youth Connect) led by Dr. Kuboi, formerly of Osaka University, and Teranishis, and many other people of Osaka. The students were able to have once-in-a-lifetime experience and safely returned home (despite extreme heat and a one day delay in return due to typhoon).
